EnvistaCares Invests $5,000 to Support Students in Foster Care Through Partnership with KVC

With the start of the school year underway, Envista Federal Credit Union and its employees have teamed up with KVC Kansas to make sure students in foster care are equipped, supported, and encouraged.

As part of its third-quarter EnvistaCares Day of Giving, Envista provided $5,000 in school supplies and bedding to children and teens served by KVC. Volunteers packed back-to-school bags filled with notebooks, pens, folders, and other essentials for middle and high school students. They also created bedding bags—complete with sheets, blankets, and pillows—so every child entering a new foster home has something personal and comforting of their own.

“KVC does extraordinary work to support children and families in some of life’s most challenging moments,” said Val Williams, VP of Marketing at Envista. “Our team wanted to help these students feel prepared, confident, and cared for as they begin the new school year. It’s not just about the items, it’s about letting kids know their community stands behind them.”

The giving initiative was chosen by Envista employees, who vote each quarter on a local nonprofit to receive resources and hands-on volunteer support. The EnvistaCares program provides up to $5,000 in funding every quarter while encouraging staff engagement and creating meaningful connections with nonprofit partners.

“Strong communities are built when we show up for one another,” added Williams. “This partnership with KVC reflects our belief that every child deserves dignity, comfort, and the opportunity to thrive.”

KVC provides services such as foster care prevention, foster care case management, adoption, and outpatient mental health treatment. With Envista’s support, KVC will be able to extend its impact by helping more students start the school year with confidence and stability.
