Envista Federal Credit Union wrapped up their celebration of International Credit Union Week with a series of community-focused initiatives highlighting the power of belonging, generosity, and local impact.
Throughout the week, Envista engaged members, staff, and the community in celebrating what it means to “Belong to Something Bigger.” The credit union’s initiatives focused on giving back, empowering education, and supporting local nonprofits.
As part of the celebration, Envista opened its first-ever student-run branch — The Trojan Vault — at Topeka High School. To mark the grand opening, Envista surprised two outstanding Topeka High teachers, Salvador Cruz and Allison Reynolds, with $500 grants. The teacher recipients were nominated by students and staff for their dedication, creativity, and positive influence on the Trojan community.
In addition, Envista awarded $1,000 grants to three nonprofit organizations that were nominated and voted on by community members. The winning organizations demonstrated exceptional service and commitment to making a difference in their communities. Those organizations included Impact Topeka, Junior Achievement of Kansas, and 100 Good Women of Douglas County.
Envista also gave back to its members, awarding one lucky member $500 in gas and grocery gift cards — a small way to show appreciation for the people who make Envista’s cooperative mission possible.
“International Credit Union Week is about celebrating the difference credit unions make — not just in banking, but in people’s lives,” said Val Williams, VP of Marketing for Envista Federal Credit Union. “We’re proud to live out our mission of empowering people through financial wellness and community giving.”
Each of these initiatives reflects Envista’s ongoing commitment to local impact through EnvistaCares, the organization’s philanthropic program that supports nonprofit organizations, schools, and community causes throughout Kansas.
