Envista Federal Credit Union Spends May Honoring Heroes and Advocates Across Kansas Communities

Throughout the month of May, Envista Federal Credit Union demonstrated its commitment to communities across Kansas by participating in a wide range of awareness months, appreciation weeks, and recognition days. Staff throughout Topeka, Lawrence, and Hutchinson showed support for local educators, first responders, healthcare workers, service members, and mental health advocates who make their communities stronger every day.

“May is a month filled with opportunities to recognize the people who give so much to our communities,” said Andrea Kaberline. “Across every community we serve, our team showed up with full hearts because we believe that saying thank you and giving back matters. We want the people who dedicate their lives to others to know they are seen and appreciated.”

Mental Health Awareness Month

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, Envista staff participated in Wear Green Day activities across all markets, helping spark important conversations around mental wellness. In Topeka, staff also delivered cookies to Astra Mental Health & Recovery to support the organization’s work in the community.

Military Appreciation Month

During Military Appreciation Month, Envista recognized the sacrifices made by military families by providing experiences for families of active-duty service members across each community. Families received tickets and gift cards to local attractions including the Kansas Cosmosphere, Up & Away Indoor Play, and the Topeka Zoo.

Firefighter Appreciation Day — May 4

On Firefighter Appreciation Day, Envista teams assembled appreciation bags filled with snacks and essentials for firefighters across all three communities. Deliveries were made directly to local stations and training centers as a heartfelt thank you to the men and women who run toward danger to keep their communities safe.

Teacher Appreciation Week — May 4-8

Teacher Appreciation Week gave Envista another opportunity to celebrate educators making a difference every day. Teams delivered cookies and breakfasts to schools in Lawrence, Hutchinson, and surrounding communities. In Topeka, staff members were invited to nominate teachers who had personally impacted their lives or families. Those teachers were then surprised by receiving hand-delivered flowers or candy bouquets, a heartfelt acknowledgment of the difference they make every day.

National Police Week — May 10-16

During National Police Week, Envista staff delivered breakfasts to police departments and law enforcement centers across the communities it serves, recognizing the officers and staff who work tirelessly to protect and serve others every day.

National Hospital Week — May 10-16

Healthcare workers were also recognized during National Hospital Week through breakfast deliveries, coffee service, and gift card giveaways for hospital staff and frontline workers across Hutchinson, Lawrence, and Topeka. These gestures served as a meaningful reminder of the gratitude Envista has for those who care for others every day.
